The position will be responsible for providing day-to-day leadership of UnitedHealthcare Retiree Solutions (URS) new business implementations for clients who have selected our Group Medicare and Retirement products. The Implementation Manager will lead and drive the implementation to the effective date utilizing various tools and business partners to help deliver high quality, effective, and creative solutions for our clients. The Implementation Manager is a client facing role and will utilize a detailed project plan to ensure all systems and processes are up and running by the effective date. In addition, the Implementation Manager will manage risks, issues, and document all decisions regarding each new business case.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8am – 5pm. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. This is a US Remote position.

Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for new client implementation processes.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for our client. A client facing role.
  • Gather and analyze case data and resolve issues.
  • Manage and mitigate risks associated to the delivery of the implementation.
  • Research and resolve inquiries/issues requiring job knowledge and comprehensive understanding of downstream impacts.
  • Lead and drive implementation team without direct leadership responsibility.
  • Generate and guide the development of supporting materials for clients including announcement letters, required materials and more.
  • Clearly and consistently track metrics and goals.
  • Document decisions within project plan.
  • Lead and participate in regular implementation meetings and provide status to leadership.
  • Develop and improve existing processes and tools.
  • Share best practices with other team members.
  • Provide ad hoc support to internal customers and team.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED (or higher) or 10 years equivalent work experience
  • Experience working directly with clients and/or TPAs.
  • Experience with matrix organizational projects/initiatives.
  • Experience directing and managing projects to a successful conclusion.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word (create / edit docs), Microsoft Excel (create / edit spreadsheets), Microsoft Outlook (email / calendar); Microsoft Teams (chat, calls, video, screen sharing, calendar)
  • Health Insurance License
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure.
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $66,100 - $118,300. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $72,800 - $129,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
