Role Summary
This role performs routine and repetitive duties to support production processes to safely produce quality, on-time at cost and compliantly. Responsible for making minute-to-minute decisions that impact the performance of the Prep department and delivery of assembled goods to the Coating and Finishing Department.

Key Tasks, Responsibilities and Expectations
1. Ensure accurate and timely receiving of customer product is conducted.
a. Requires meeting all specifications and licenses the business holds (Nadcap, ISO, Federal Firearms License, etc.)
2. Ensure accurate and timely receiving of non-customer product (i.e., materials and supplies for the business to operate)
3. Responsible for the accurate upkeep of inventory controls for our racking and masking operations.
4. Responsible for qualification of good tooling and masking equipment to generate acceptable product to our customers.
5. Ensures your helpers are working within all safety guidelines and protocols throughout the course of the shift.
6. Responsible for the helpers performing tasks accurately and in a timely manner.
7. Ensure cleanliness of workstation and surrounding area remains clutter free, clean and hazard free.
Skills (Performance) Required
• Able to make effective quality decisions for products produced in their areas.
• Able to respond to and adjust changing production requirements.
• Proficient in basic mathematics skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
- Proficient in written, reading and oral English
- Exceptional communication and relationship building skills in both internal and external settings
- Proficiency in data analysis and operations metrics and able to communicate them to others
- Proficiency in engaging, supporting, coaching, and developing employees to their potential
Skills (Physical), if required
• Significant time standing (80%) and moving about in medium to heavy production areas.
• Core body strength, with the use of arms and legs and moving whole body, reaching, and stooping.
• Stamina—the ability to physically exert over sustained periods of time.
• Able to frequently (40-70%) lift/move light weight material (5-25 lbs.)
• Near vision—see objects at close range. Visual color discrimination.
• Reaction Time — the ability to quickly respond (with the hand, finger, or foot) to production situations.
• Able to work in a medium production environment where individual is exposed to dust, heat, and production chemicals and hazards.
Education and Experience
Required
• High School Diploma or (GED or High School Equivalence Certificate)
• 2+ years’ experience working in a production shop or a manufacturing process
