The Opportunity

Reporting to the Director, FP&A US Corporate Support Functions, the Sr. Manager Business Partner will be responsible for providing financial analysis, modeling and advisory services to an assigned business unit. In this partnership they will identify opportunities to reduce cost and increase efficiency on expenses as well as to maximize the ROI related to business initiatives.

Your Impact
  • Identify and quantify new business unit initiatives for fiscal integrity
  • Validate the financial assumptions and information which form the basis for strategic business decisions, i.e. "business cases" - this includes the Revenue, Expense, and Capital cycles
  • Provide management with accurate and timely information necessary to make strategic operating decisions. Provides Subject Matter Expertise for business systems and processes projects
  • Steward of the monthly forecast and annual budget process for their assigned business unit; this includes the development of supporting models and documentation for input into a US Market model
  • Support the implementation and continued evolution of a more robust and automated budgeting and planning application
  • Oversight for capital Budget and Forecasting for the Enterprise, via developing and executing Enterprise wide processes. Partnership with BP&A Business Partners and within Corporate BP&A on executing Budget/Forecasts, facilitating AR process
  • Develop standard capital reporting to meet client, market, and accounting needs. Admin responsibilities for related Capital systems
  • Produces ad hoc business unit performance reports and analytics that provide cogent and actionable information for assigned executives and Finance management
  • Prepares variance analysis reports & reviews and identifies issues or variances. Conducts monthly and quarterly review actual to budget and re-forecast for future periods
  • Works collaboratively with assigned business unit management to continuously improve financial reporting and performance measurement
  • Provides guidance and oversight for direct reports and/or indirect reports (reporting financial analysts) in assigned business units
  • Identifies capability building opportunities within BP&A
  • Identifies process improvement opportunities within BP&A


What You Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting; Masters, CMA and/or CPA preferred
  • 8-10 years of experience working in a corporate finance, business analysis and / or business consulting environment
  • High level of interpersonal, communication, and problem solving skills
  • A high sense of urgency, strength of conviction, and a desire to work closely as a partner with senior members of the company's management team
  • Ability to influence decision making without authority
  • Advanced verbal and written communication skills required. Need to be able to communicate with all levels within the organization
  • Strong Prioritization skills and ability to manage ambiguity
  • Strong financial acumen and an appreciation for the potential impact on other business units throughout the company
  • Knowledge of financial management processes and accounting standards
  • Process Improvement skills
  • Internal consulting skills a plus
  • Retail industry experience preferred
  • Experience with SAP and / or SAP Business Planning & Consolidation (BPC)
