As a 222-bed specialty care hospital, we receive patients from across the UP and provides care in 65 specialties and subspecialties. Its medical staff of more than 200 doctors works as a team with its more than 1,800 employees in caring for approximately 9,000 inpatients and more than 350,000 outpatients per year.

Job Description
Performs medical physics duties in all areas of the hospital with priority given to needed services in the Radiation Oncology Department.
Assists Radiation Oncology staff in the implementation of the approved treatment plan.
Collaborates with the Radiation Oncologist to determine treatment plan for patients receiving radiation therapy.
Validates accuracy of therapy treatments logged on weekly basis and at end of treatment period.
Records charges accurately for procedures performed and submits charge sheets to clerical support.
Interprets computer generated dosimetry information and presents this information to the Radiation Oncologist.
Assists in the maintenance and calibration of all radiographic equipment in the Radiation Oncology Department.
Assists in the design and fabrication of special blocks, compensators, and molds as required.
Performs radiation performance surveys at other hospitals/clinics with approval of Program Director and as assigned.

Must-Haves:
- Master's Degree
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
- American Board of Radiology (ABR) or equivalent
