Project Engineer - Electrical

Job Summary: The Electrical Project Engineer will be responsible for controls development, engineering design, development, and production support of PACCAR Winch product lines that include winch, hoist, and drive units. Essential Functions / Responsibilities:



• Design Electrical and Electronic Circuitry including schematic and PCB layout



• Design Wire Harnesses including schematic layout



• Assemble and Test prototype designs



• Create technical documentation such as BOM, Test Reports, and other project associated documentation



• Quickly identify design issues and appropriate solutions during the course of product development



• Coordinate and complete projects and design efforts with other groups and departments within the company.



• Apply engineering techniques gained through study or experience, frequently requiring independent evaluation.



• Direct and conduct necessary research incidental to design.



• Complete design projects and manufacturing process changes from planning, calculation, and design analysis, design, testing, evaluation and implementation necessary for successful project completion.



• Identify, prioritize, and coordinate resolution of production, production control, and Quality Assurance issues as appropriate.



• Develop, maintain, and present project metrics: cost capital, performance, milestones/timeline as directed.



• Utilizes Creo and Windchill as the CAD and data management system.



• Utilize and maintain Six Sigma, DFSS and Lean tools throughout the design and validation process.



• Occasional travel is required.



Qualifications:



Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
