Maintenance Technician



Job Description

Job Summary:

We currently have a full time opening for Maintenance I position located in Santa Cruz County. Our total compensation package includes a comprehensive medical and dental insurance plan, 403(b) retirement plan, paid holiday & sick time, and 17 days of paid vacation.

Under supervision of the Maintenance Manager, the position will assist in property maintenance of office buildings, program facilities and residential properties located throughout Santa Cruz County. This job includes, but is not limited to, landscaping, janitorial, hauling, apartment turnovers, basic plumbing, basic electrical, and construction. Work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and rotating on-call shifts required. Company work truck and tools provided. Bilingual abilities a plus, good driving record is mandatory.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform janitorial and landscaping on a regular basis.
  • Perform all aspects of painting and painting related services such as sheet rock repair, patching, painting, texturing and caulking.
  • Perform unit turnovers, move-ins, move-outs and inspections.
  • Perform basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry repairs.
  • Other duties/tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 1+ years related experience in maintenance services.
  • Demonstrate ability in general maintenance, repairs and power tool knowledge.
  • Valid Driver’s License and clean DMV report.
  • Exhibit an ability to operate effectively in a culturally diverse workplace.
  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster required.
  • Must be able to pass criminal background check.
  • Proof of citizenship or right to work in the United States.
