SENIOR REVENUE CYCLE MANAGER
Senior Revenue Cycle Operations Manager Overview of Position Direct/Manage/Supervise the revenue cycle operations for an organization that provides healthcare patient services. Work with senior leadership to develop revenue cycle strategies that maximize process efficiency and reimbursement. Lead process improvement across the functional teams that contribute to the revenue cycle, such as claims, billing, and payment posting. Monitor the effectiveness of activities contributing to the revenue cycle to identify and reduce missed revenue opportunities. Remain knowledgeable of insurance policy and governmental regulations affecting billing practices to ensure organizational compliance.
What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?
Supervise subordinates to complete assignments using established guidelines, procedures, and policies
Compile, analyze and summarize issues and trends using data from billing platform and other reporting tools
Develop resolution plans with domestic and offshore affiliates as necessary
Independently work to ensure team operates efficiently and effectively
Work in collaboration with peers and managers for guidance and reorganization of workflow to ensure internal and external business needs are met
Participate in meetings as needed to address trends in denials or unprocessed claims
Create and distribute department communications, pathways and policy updates
Conduct regular team meetings to communicate updates and business results
Identify and facilitate individual and/or team training needs for new or established team members
Handle escalated client/patient issues
Conducts regular performance reviews and create staff development plans to promote competency/skill development.
Engage in employee performance management; to include, creation, maintenance and delivery of performance documents and appraisals
Complete/review quality assurance reports with employees providing feedback on areas of success and improvement
What are the requirements needed for this position?
Bachelors Degree; or the equivalent work experience
3+ years in medical billing experience preferred
5+ years in managerial experience required
Moderate to Advanced working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word
What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?
Coding experience,
anesthesia specialty experience
