As the VP of Product Management, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the product roadmap and execution for Society6's marketplace and e-commerce platforms. You will have direct responsibility for the oversight and thought leadership of the product management team Society6's D2C and B2B organizations. In addition, you will collaborate across the organization with executives, senior leadership, and critical business stakeholders to be responsible for the evolution and optimization of Society6's customer and artist experience.
The key areas of focus for this role will be evolving our marketplace experience through acquisition, retention, and growth both for our customers and our artist community. This will involve managing complex products from browse, search, merchandising, registration, cart, checkout, artist seller tools, order management, and customer service tools in order to delight our customers and artists.

Typical responsibilities for a VP of Product include:
- Lead all aspects of the eCommerce Platform, including product vision, strategic roadmap prioritization, metrics and operations.
- Lead the process of evaluating capabilities and drive product innovation across all aspects of the commerce touchpoints including A/B testing and compelling use experiences that drive conversion as well as back office order management and artist related tools.
- Manage a team of product managers to create the strategy and roadmap
- Measure and communicate progress to stakeholders during development, and perform user acceptance testing before release
- Lead initiatives to improve the Customer Experience, such as site speed and performance as well as optimization of core flows
- Collaborating with business partners to develop product roadmap initiatives that span Marketing, Merchandising, Pricing & Promotions, Shipping & Fulfillment, Customer Service and Data Analytics
- Coach and mentor the product management team in goal-setting, effectively writing specs and user stories, prioritizing requirements, analyzing product data, and developing product strategies
- Stay abreast of competition and innovation within the space and use the knowledge to inform requirements and new product features
- Foster a spirit of team unity across product management, design, engineering, and QA and with team members across multiple geographies
You'll be successful if:
- You are a motivated, dynamic and strategic result oriented product leader who is passionate about delivering high quality eCommerce and marketplace experiences
- You are a partner with the business, marketing and technology executive team to create compelling product strategies, build product roadmaps, and deliver high-quality experiences that delight our customers and artists which drive business growth.
- You can see the future, by looking at industry trends, making key investment recommendations, and looking for businesses to partner with to enable our product strategy.
- Having an insatiable curiosity, and engaging with industry and outside industry peers, and drawing on all of that information for insights and predictive decision making.
- You are not afraid to wear multiple hats - with no job being too big or too small - in order to deliver results for our customers or artists.
What you have:
- 10 - 12 years experience with strong technical or product expertise including the ability to manage multiple Product teams, preferably in e-commerce or marketplace business.
- 7 -10 years experience leading high-performance team(s) in fast-paced organizations and environments including remote teams.
- Direct experience with large scale e-commerce platforms and technologies (including catalog, cart/checkout, payments, identity, shipping, search), A/B testing, web and native mobile application environments, and data analytics
- Strong proven ability to collaborate with senior executives across the organization including technology, marketing, sales, operations, and finance
- Proven experience launching new products that are complex and involve the use of algorithms to deliver a great customer experience
- Familiarity and comfort with data, including the ability to use data to analyze and monitor product health
- Demonstrated experience working with the technology teams from UX, through to data science and frontend teams
- Superior communication skills, including the ability to crystallize and broadly socialize insights into stakeholder needs that the stakeholders themselves may not be able to articulate
- Ability to weigh competing priorities, manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with stakeholders, driving to consensus while maintaining a clear focus on overarching business priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
