More Than a Job

We’re hiring for a Tax Experienced Associate - High Net Worth (HNW) for our New York City office. The High Net Worth (HNW) Tax Practice focuses on tax business planning, advisory & compliance services for ultra-wealthy families as well as multi-general wealth planning. The group specializes in the taxation of gifts, trusts, estates, foundations, closely held entities and individual returns. Responsibilities include and are not limited to the following:

  • Prepare basic individual, partnership and corporate returns for clients in various industries
  • Prepare open item lists for clients, compile work papers and client files in our tax software, and review client information for accuracy prior to completing a tax return
  • Basic tax research skills
  • Prepare, organize and maintain engagement work papers and files
  • Manage multiple client assignments at any given time
  • Build strong team relationship skills and work as an effective team member to complete project components and assignment tasks
  • Configure reports and information on client statuses to ensure completion
  • Communicate with Senior and/or Manager on work status and client issues that arise

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with a preferred field of study in Accounting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently, but also work well with others

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a GPA of 3.0 and above
  • Master’s degree in Accounting or Taxation
  • CPA license or on track to obtain
  • 1+ years’ experience in a related role within public accounting
  • Software Experience – CCH ProSystem, Microsoft Office 365
