The Marketing Client Manager role is a hands-on member of our growing team that’s responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies for large Group Medicare clients. This position plays an important role in onboarding, growth, and retention of our clients and works closely with team members and partner teams. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable and excited presenting to clients and consulting on communication best practices. This role will require presentation skills, the ability to manage multiple projects, and partnership with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines.
Through this role you will become a part of the member’s health care journey. Your work will help guide retirees transition to a Group Medicare Advantage plan and educate them about tools and resources available to help them live a healthier life.
If you are located in Minnetonka, MN, you will have the flexibility to telecommute* as well as work in the office as you take on some tough challenges. This role can be full Telecommute for the ideal candidate.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Client Management:
- Working with Sales and Account Management, lead new and existing relationships with large, complex clients
- Develop and implement custom marketing strategies to support the sale of Group Medicare products to employer groups and individual retirees. Materials include:
- Enrollment materials
- Custom communications based on client requirements
- Presentations
- Assess and interpret customer needs and requirements
- Identify solutions to non-standard marketing requests and problems
- Project manage marketing initiatives by using internal tools and systems
- Create and maintain marketing schedules and build of materials (BOM), as appropriate
- Solve moderately complex problems and/or conducts moderately complex analyses
- Work with minimal guidance; seeks guidance on only the most complex task
- Translate concepts into practice
- Develop and implement communication plans to support overall member experience, improve retention and encourage members to take an active role in their health
- Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs and Legal teams to ensure marketing materials are compliant with necessary state and federal guidelines
- Work successfully with the creative and production teams to create materials that are strategically sound and meet all client commitments

Required Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience in Client Management, Marketing or Communications
- 5+ years in client-facing relationship management
- 5+ years in project management
- Experience in a deadline-driven matrix environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft office suite and Adobe
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a regulated industry
- Healthcare industry experience
- Knowledge of Medicare
- Ability to be flexible and work with ambiguity
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organization skills and experience managing and prioritizing several deliverables
- Proven presentation skills (over the phone, in-person with client)
- Demonstrated collaboration and relationship building skills

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $82,100 to $146,900. The salary range for Connecticut/Nevada residents is $90,500 to $161,600. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
