As an Associate Director within our network contracting team, you'll guide the development and support of provider networks as well as unit cost management activities through financial and network pricing modeling, analysis and reporting. Primary Responsibilities:
- Coordinate/facilitate internal and external provider JOC meetings
- Ensure teams are obtaining, validating and analyzing data impacting key provider relationships
- Drive, design and implementation programs to improve quality and affordability through improvements to key provider relationships
- Manage functional, market level and/or site strategy, plans, production and/or organizational priorities
- Collaborate with providers and other partnering departments to implement contractual requirements
- Navigate various system utilities necessary to effectively execute daily tasks
- Adapt departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges
- Identify and resolve technical, operational and organizational problems
- Serve as a key resource by providing explanations and information to others on complex and / or critical issues
- Solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions
- Motivate and inspire other team members
- Maintain active relationships with UHN and network strategy functional areas to support continuous improvement of end-to-end processes and provider data quality of products
- Maintain working documentation on provider data, to include progress, risks, and milestones met

Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience working with a managed care organization or health insurer; or as a consultant in a network/contract management role, such as contracting, provider services, etc.
- 3+ years of experience in successfully leading multiple projects
- 2+ years of experience in a network management-related role handling complex network providers with accountability for business results
- 2+ years of experience utilizing financial modeling in making rate decisions
- Knowledge of business operation processes that impact providers
- Excellent communication skills required including ability to communicate effectively with various levels of leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience with provider contracting
- Proficiency with all facility/ancillary contract reimbursement methodologies

Connecticut Residents Only: The salary range for Connecticut residents is $97,300 to $176,900. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
