Electrolux North America Business Area

North America Business Area is responsible for approximately 30% of the Global Electrolux Business. We design, develop and produce home appliances for Food Preservation and Preparation as well as for Well Being, Fabric Care and Dish Care.

We are seeking a Maintenance Engineering Manager for Anderson Operations Food Preservation NA located in Anderson SC. This position will report to the Sr. Maintenance Manager from Anderson Operations Food Preservation NA in Anderson, SC .

A leader that has solid experience in the Manufacturing Engineering and Maintenance areas and is ready to go the extra mile leading his/her team following a rigorous, methodic and extensive cross functional collaborative approach

Key responsibilities as Engineering Maintenance Manager:

  • You would manage a team who plans, improves, maintains manufacturing equipment and facilities for the Anderson Manufacturing Plant and related structures, understands equipment specifications, including analysis, evaluation of location, material resources, structural design, maximizes efficiencies of equipment, workflow, and work force utilization.
  • You would lead a transformation from a reactive factory maintenance system to a proactive maintenance system, with an emphasis on equipment reliability and life cycle costs.
  • You must be able to define project scopes for small to large projects to include setting objectives and monitoring deliverables, timing and overall performance for the team and projects as well as define the deliverables that will support Electrolux Strategies and business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders within operations.
  • You would provide business and people leadership, monitor, coordinate and supervise the daily activities of Engineers and support teams, and be accountable for team results. You and your team will communicate project status to all levels in the organization. You must be Action Plan driven and have a passion for making every day better. You will be responsible for improvements to OEE and MTTR for the equipment in the Anderson Factory.
  • You would be responsible for the oversight and coordination of maintenance engineers who develop and implement optimal, cost-effective manufacturing process and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards of Electrolux as well as ownership and up time of equipment. Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, cycle time, methods, and controls. Coordinates maintenance activities related to launch for new or revised products, automated equipment installation, preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance. Responsible for the continuous safe operation of machinery and equipment. Supervise use of computerized systems, supporting organize repairs and manage routine maintenance. Department scope also includes monitoring / control devices and continuous improvement items to help with equipment maintenance.
  • You must be able to resolve technical and people challenges and recommend improvements and solutions. You must have a digital mindset and leverage global concepts. You would be responsible for projects from concept to commissioning and have the ability to handle multiple programs at the same time.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or 8 years experience in related field with specialties can range from Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical or Mechatronics
  • 5+ years of relevant experience ME
  • 3+ years’ experience managing projects
  • Experience managing direct reports (hourly or salary) a plus
  • Experience managing engineering teams a plus
  • Experience in Home appliance products/technologies a plus
  • CMMS (Infor, Maximo, SAP) a plus
  • Strong understanding of engineering, manufacturing and assembly principles
  • Self-starter who can work effectively with minimal supervision
  • Exceptionally strong work ethic and transparency and you inspire the same in others
  • Expectant, positive, proactive attitude and ‘can do’ spirit to drive change and can demonstrate a history of driving for higher business performance in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong Continuous Improvement mindset
  • Strong computer skills particularly Microsoft Office applications (MS Project, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
  • Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing
  • Knowledge and demonstrated abilities in problem solving, manufacturing, automation, waste elimination, project finances and process improvement.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents & drawings and write detailed repair reports.
  • Strong mechanical and/or electrical aptitude
  • Skilled in use of common hand tools and basic fabrication techniques
  • Skilled in use of common electrical troubleshooting equipment.
