FP&A Analyst, Compensation

Digital Turbine is seeking a highly motivated Financial Analyst to join our growing Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team in Austin, Texas . In this role, you will partner with sales leadership and human resources to manage variable compensation plans and sales analytics across the company. You will work closely with leaders from across the company to drive both business growth and profitability. The job will require an analytical mind, the ability to communicate complex ideas, and the personality to be able to work collaboratively with team members from multiple functions. These positions will report into the Director of FP&A.

What you will be doing:
  • Work alongside the business segment finance leaders and sales management to manage, track and calculate quarterly commissions timely and accurately
  • Support the Chief People Officer with analysis of company compensation (merit, bonus attainment, stock options, etc.)
  • Support the Chief People Officer with bonus attainment calculation, P&L impact and ad hoc request
  • Collaborate with your FP&A team members and business partners from around the globe to develop quarterly targets by geography, team and individual
  • Assist in implementation of new tool and process improvement for communication and tracking of sales variable commission plans
  • Create data-driven sales analytics and reporting for leadership to outline potential opportunities to drive P&L impact
  • Collaborate with your FP&A team members and business partners from around the globe to develop quarterly forecasts and annual plans
  • Partner with the Accounting organization on month end close activities to ensure the integrity and completeness of our financial statements
  • Communicate business performance to leaders both inside and outside the Finance organization and the implications of that performance on future business decisions
  • Partner with our business intelligence team to drive deeper insight into the performance of the business by exploring data in new ways
  • Identify and implement process improvements that drive efficiencies, increase accuracy, and lead to more insightful work products

What we are looking for:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or Business
  • 3+ years of experience in finance-based roles with a focus on FP&A (sales team budget/forecasting or variable compensation experience a plus)
  • Prior experience working with sales compensation planning, tools and process design is a plus
  • Prior experience as a super user within a tool is a plus
  • Prior experience working for a fast-growing technology company (advertising technology a plus)
  • Ability to distill, create, and tell a story using various data elements, trends and critical metrics
  • Excellent analytical skills and modeling experience, exposure to various analytical tools
  • The ability to operate independently with limited oversight
  • Ability to work under pressure within short time constraints in a constantly changing environment
  • High attention to detail and accuracy a must
  • Ownership and self-awareness must be part of who you are
