Kafka Microservices Developer

GoAhead Solutions has a great opportunity for a Kafka Microservices Developer in the Bay Area. This would be a Six to Twelve month contract to start out. This position will require to be on site (hybrid Model).

Responsibilities:

Performing issue analysis & providing solution on Kafka application

-Providing regular issue updates to required stakeholders

-Ability to prioritize support workload

-Operational activity planning

-Working with offshore team

-Assist with MDM strategy, Process Design, high level MDM architecture requirement and the implementation plan

-Performance tuning of Application, Database

-Collaborate with various technical teams and business users for Development, QA, and Operations Support

Qualifications:

-9+ years of overall experience in I.T. with strong background in Java based application development

-3+ years of Kafka development experience with Kafka streaming, Kafka connect, Kafka APIs and KSQL

-Experience in SOAP/Rest API development

-Experience in Spring Boot based development

-Experience in Microservices development on container based platforms, e.g. Openshift, Kubernetes

-Financial services domain exp preferred.

-3+ years of experience in Oracle and Unix

-Exp with GitHub

-Strong with Oracle ,SQL & PL/SQL (Slicing and Dicing Data)

-UNIX shell scripting exp

-Excellent analysis, debugging and trouble-shooting skills, and persistence in problem solving

-Excellent communication skills

Current Project:

-Updating the related documentation

-Providing the necessary architectural and development

-Managing the code base

-Creating quality code for Bank’s test and production environments

-Manage the related Unit Testing Effort

-Coordinate with QA teams for test case development and understanding

-Coordinate with Bank’s internal teams for release management and deployment activities

-Manage the related Data Analysis efforts

Deliverables :

-Building Kafka based microservices for Customer data management

-Improving Customer data platform for data quality and performance Issues

-Building & designing capability for Customer data maintenance for the Digital & MDM Platforms

-Defining and developing MDM Publishing Framework for sharing customer data with the downstream systems

-Defining and developing MDM consuming Framework for consuming customer updates from upstream and downstream systems

-Developing MDM Services

-Performance Tuning of both producer & consumer apps

-Documenting detailed functional and technical designs and performing code reviews

-Data Quality procedures and Unit Test cases and results

-Executed Performance related tests and doing required tuning

-Data analysis
