Summary

The Floor Tech is responsible for the daily cleaning and maintenance of the buildings floor care.

Core Responsibilities

• Cleaning offices, hallways, common areas, and other areas.

• Cleaning floors with scrubbers sweepers (both ride-ons and stand-on walk behind machines).

• Utilizes brooms/dust mops/mop buckets, etc.

• Moving furniture before and after cleaning.

• Cleaning, sweeping, dusting, and mopping floors

• Assist with spill calls.

• Operating chemical dispensing units.

• Labeling chemicals correctly.

• Cleaning, maintaining, and storing equipment and PPE proficiently.

• Keeping an inventory of floor areas, and scheduling cleaning and restroom scrubbing duties.

• Reporting maintenance issues to supervisor.

• Operate ride on/ walk behind floor machines.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Assists cleaning additional areas when required due to staffing shortages

• Ability to understand & learn to safely operation of various floor cleaning machinery

• Pulling trash in assigned area

• Cleaning water coolers, wiping walls.

• Cleaning restrooms, wiping toilet, urinals, sinks, mirrors.

• Conducts daily Crew Communications Meetings to discuss safety messages, special projects, and hot spots.

• Performs any and all duties as assigned.

Skills Required

• Must the ability to work with minimum supervision

Skills Preferred

• Knowledge of commercial floor care and floor care products.

• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and practices.

Floor Techs are regularly required to walk, stand, use their hands and reach. In addition, they will occasionally be required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Floor Techs are required to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
