The Refugee Program Manager oversees the delivery and documentation of case management and other required services to newly arriving refugees in accordance with contracts and grants that fund the programs. S/he is responsible for ensuring effective and timely coordination with funders, partners, local and other agencies. The Resettlement Program Manager trains and supervises resettlement case managers and other staff members in the program. This position reports to the Refugee, Immigration, and Employment Director and assists the Director with program policies, reporting requirements, staff training and development.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Oversee daily operations of the Resettlement Services team, providing guidance, leadership, and direct support in all aspects of service provision.
Monitor the delivery of core resettlement services to ensure compliance with all program standards and grant requirements in accordance with the Reception and Placement Cooperative Agreement, Matching Grant, and other program guidelines.
Act as principal liaison with funders on issues of case allocation and assurance.
Ensure that all electronic and hard case files and databases are maintained in accordance with contract requirements.
Responsible for the maintenance and distribution of pocket money.
Ensure timely delivery of all R&P and Matching Grant case reports.
Participates in the recruitment, hiring, and training of resettlement services team members and ensure they are properly supervised.
Takes part in the development and writing of grant proposals in support of the work of the Resettlement Services team.
Maintain ongoing communication with the Director on the status of the programs, clients and outcomes and provide timely reports on any management and contract compliance issues.
Participate actively in the Department Leadership Team and liaise with other program managers to ensure efficient collaboration with all programs in the delivery of quality services.
Create and maintain strong ties with partners and other agencies
Conduct community outreach and participate in committees and groups to promote awareness of refugee resettlement work
Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Masters in Social Work (MSW) or Bachelors degree with commensurate experience managing human service programs.
EXPERIENCE: 2 years in a supervisory/management position in the field of human services preferred. Experience working with refugee or immigrant population preferred
