Housekeeper: Emergency Department Relief, $7,500 SIGN ON BONUS W/2yr AGREEMENT

Position Summary:

Position Summary:

Conducts floor and carpet care throughout hospital as well as annex locations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School graduate or equivalent, preferred

  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

  • Previous housekeeping/floor and carpet care experience preferred.

  • Work is moderately heavy, involving lifting up to 35 pounds, considerable walking, standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, climbing. Works primarily inside.

  • Ability to work as a Team to complete jobs as assigned.


Essential Job Functions:

  • Performs floor and carpet care throughout hospital as well as annex locations per departmental/hospital policy and procedures.

  • Daily floor and carpet maintenance, as well as periodic stripping & waxing of floors and deep cleaning of carpets.

  • Proper use of equipment and supplies per departmental/hospital policy and procedures.

  • Accountable for proper handling of soiled laundry, trash removal, infectious and biohazard waste per Infection Control guidelines.

  • Accountable for reviewing policies and procedures, MSDS information, and using hospital communication system.
