Revenue Analyst
Playa Hotels & Resorts is in search of an experienced Revenue Analyst to join the Revenue Management team in our Sunrise office. Reporting to the Director of Revenue Management, the Revenue Analyst is responsible for working with multiple revenue management systems to determine strategic goals and tactical efforts which drive total revenue to the hotels. The position supports Revenue Managers and Senior Leadership in the development of systems, strategy, analytics, and business reporting. The role is responsible for several revenue generating activities that require thought leadership and strong initiative. The role serves as the objective decision maker that ensures the best interest of profitability is served in the resorts as well as ensuring the integrity of rates and long-term profitability.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Maximize net room revenue contribution through a thorough understanding of all booking channels and management of inventory and rate therein.
- Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly business reporting and analytics.
- Monitors transient inventory to ensure straight-line availability and maximization of revenue potential for all brands.
- Monitor competitive set positioning using, OTA Insights and BEONPRICE.
- Identifying need dates for tour operator business.
- Coordinates with Revenue Managers and Distribution functions to implement timely pricing actions.
- Engages with and supports the hotels selling strategy in all distribution systems.
- Understands the working relationship between sales, reservations, and property management systems.
- Executes daily processing of Nor1 upgrade requests for several resorts while providing regular feedback on overall platform performance and strategy.
- Coordinates Agent Cash booking program requests with the AgentCash Plus Team.
- Supports Revenue Managers to ensure Duetto and all related systems are properly configured, validated, and working to full capacity.
- Supports the annual and monthly Corporate Revenue plans with analysis of individual and overall performance and ensuring budgets are met via group and transient strategies.
- Monitors demand and works with Sales team on recommending selling strategies based on available inventory.
- Supports Revenue Managers by conducting periodic audits of systems ensuring accuracy of rates, package information and availability.
- Conducts pricing and competitive set analysis assisting Revenue Managers in the strategic positioning of pricing for each hotel.
- Ad hoc reporting and administrative tasks when assigned.

Requirements:
- 1-3 years of hands-on Hotel Revenue Management or relative experience
- Previous experience in hotel reservations and/or front desk preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Tourism or Economic Studies
- Intermediate to advanced Excel experience is required
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Must be willing to devote minimum of 30 minutes per day to do administrative tasks such as printing and formatting reports
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with a variety of colleagues and senior management.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft office products with expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel (e.g. formulas, pivot tables, data connections, macros and automation).
- Knowledgeable of hotel technology systems.
- Preferred previous experience with Opera, Nor1, Duetto, Hyatt Reserve, Hilton Revenue Management Systems, OTA/Tour Operator Extranets.
- Knowledge of TravelClick, OTA Insight and BEONPRICE competitive shopping tools desired
