Senior Accountant - Executive Compensation

An advertising firm located in New Jersey is actively seeking a driven and analytical Senior Accountant for their Executive Compensation team. In this role, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for accounting and analysis of various compensation plans in accordance with applicable accounting literature.

Responsibilities

The Senior Accountant will:

• Manage several databases designed to track and distribute plan data
• Assist in the forecasting and budgeting process for agencies and Corporate departments
• Understand and apply relevant GAAP literature and be able to answer questions from Business Units, Auditors, managers, and other departments related to this field
• Understand and apply relevant Sarbanes-Oxley requirements in order to ensure proper business controls remain in place
• Submit journal entries using SAP
• Oversee global reconciliation with operating units’ budget vs. actuals and annual billings, including providing and reviewing fluctuation and analytical analyses

Qualifications

• Accounting degree
• 3–5 years of work experience
• Solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Good communications skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Detail-oriented
• Comfortable working in a team environment

• CPA
• Knowledge of Hyperion / SAP
