3rd Shift Maintenance Mechanic

Labor Now is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic for a food production facility on the 3rd shift in Gardena, CA and we're looking for you!

The position in on the 3rd shift from 8:00pm to 4:30am with flexibility to work 1st and 2nd shift as needed. Pay rate is $22-24/hr DOE.

Responsibilities:

• This position will ensure that all machinery and mechanical equipment are operating during production to achieve company goals
• Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on refrigeration equipment, HVAC, towers, air compressor, motors, pneumatic systems, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments utilizing root cause analysis tools
• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges
• Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance
• Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
• Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests
• Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
• Performs basic housekeeping tasks

Qualifications and Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience working with food manufacturing machinery and equipment preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Follows all GMP, PPE & Safety Guidelines & handbook
• Able to work flexible schedule
• Able to comply with SQF Regulatory Programs
• Team player-able to work on a team environment
• Knowledge of HACCP & Sanitation guidelines & processes
