Maintenance Worker
Job Description
Role and Responsibilities
- General maintenance and upkeep of facility, grounds, and equipment, under direct supervision of the Facilities Supervisor.
- Daily Maintenance and Repair tasks throughout the campus buildings and admin offices
- Assists in minor repairs including but not limited to: electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting.
- Assist in grounds upkeep, janitorial and emergency response clean-ups.
- Light repairs to chairs, tables, changing bulbs, changing air filters.
- Perform internal requests as necessary, e.g. move furniture, hang pictures, etc. Room setup for school events and meetings as requested.
- Perform daily facility soft services (and as needed) such as: restroom upkeep, food services, parking, vending.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Two years’ experience or equivalent training in general maintenance including a basic familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, painting and carpentry.
Preferred Skills
- Skilled in using power tools.
- Ability to lift, push or pull up to 75 lbs., including climbing ladders.
- Must be available to commit to one Saturday per month for recruitment programs.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Additional Requirements:
- Regular attendance is an essential function of the job.
- Must be punctual and ready to start work at the beginning of all scheduled shifts.
- Pleasant interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively interact with management and team members.
- Must be extremely reliable, trustworthy, honest and dependable. This position is privy to confidential information, so discretion is essential.
- Good people skills, friendly and helpful attitude.
