Controller

The Controller will be responsible for managing and supervising all aspects of accounting, reporting and financial compliance. The Controller will report to the Director of Finance and will assist with the financial and accounting management of the company, development of internal control policies, procedures, and financial planning as needed.


Duties and Responsibilities



  • •Manage all day-to-day aspects of accounting including but not limited to accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cash balances, payroll recording and reporting, revenue recognition, fixed assets, financial statement preparation, compliance, and various special analyses
  • Manage, supervise, support, and mentor the accounting team with leadership that creates an environment of trust and productivity within a family culture
  • Document and maintain policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure that transactions are recorded and report in compliance with GAAP
  • Maintain organized, accurate records, reconciliations, and analysis that support balances and transactions in the accounting system
  • Responsible for timely monthly and year-end closing and the related financial reporting
  • Mange annual financial review as well as audits with regulatory agencies and insurance companies (general liability, worker’s comp, etc.)
  • Assist Director of Finance with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Oversee the collection process, including assisting with complex and/or aged collections
  • Verify and confirm the accuracy of gross margins on projects
  • Ensure timely and accurate filing of all taxes (corporate and payroll)
  • Verify all projects are opened accurately and timely
  • Other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration ---with an emphasis in Accounting
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting
  • Previous supervisory and management experience
  • Exceptional knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), finance, accounting, budgeting, cost control principles, and internal controls
  • Previous experience with an ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred)


Compensation


  • Salary range is $115k to $125k
  • Matching 4% 401k
  • Other benefits available upon hire
