Vice President, Human Resources
Looking for a highly visible, strategic HR role in a forward-focused organization? WellPower (formerly MHCD) is seeking this skill set in their next VP of HR. This role will coordinate all functional areas of HR to include: recruiting, compensation, benefits, labor, and employee relations. The position will report to the C-suite and work closely with other organizational leaders and managers.
An ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years in human resource roles, with at least 5 years in a strategic leadership capacity. Experience with organizational DEI and belonging initiatives will be critical for this role. A candidate should have a background in employee relations, strategic alignment of HR and business goals, leadership development, and employee engagement. A successful candidate will have a customer service focus as it supports the organization.
How will the VP of HR support and lead WellPower?
Along with strategic HR direction, the VP of HR will champion anti-black racism as well as diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in collaboration with the leadership team, department heads, and all team members of WellPower. WellPower works to create an environment of trust and alliance with employees through outreach, feedback and engagement activities. WellPower seeks to ensure all HR practices are fair and consistent across the organization.

This role will be integral in administering labor and union-related activities. The VP of HR will work with union representatives and administer any collective bargaining agreements in place. The goal of this relationship is to support the employees and the organization utilizing an interest-based bargaining approach.
Daily, the VP of HR will drive compliance through organizational policies and procedures. Oversee all benefits programs along with employee salary and pay levels. The VP of HR will ensure that growth and development opportunities are provided through fostering mentor relationships. This role will also oversee the recruitment functions with a focus on attracting a variety of highly qualified applicants and promoting Well Power as a great place to work. The VP of HR will be charged with ensuring these initiatives along with all HR practices align with the organizational DEI initiatives.
This is a hybrid role and will require work partly in the physical workplace and partly remote.
Compensation Range: $175,000 - $185,000 annually
EDUCATION: Minimum of bachelor's degree in human resources or related field. Master's degree preferred. SHRM/HRCI certification strongly preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum ten years' experience in oversight and administration of Human Resource activities. Minimal five years in a HR leadership capacity. Strong background in employee relations, strategic alignment of HR and business goals, leadership development, and employee engagement. Knowledge of labor relations and practiced interest based bargaining is a plus. Must also have experience managing recruiting, employment, compensation, benefits and training and development. Experience in health care is a plus. Experience utilizing HRIS software preferred.
