Tool Room Machinist
Adecco is hiring immediately for Tool Room Machinists with a local client in Minneapolis, MN. Tool Room Machinists perform essential duties with pay starting at $30.00/hour, plus available overtime. In this role, you will carry through to completion the construction, repair, and maintenance of fixtures, jigs, and machine shop tools.
Responsibilities listed but not limited to:
Analyzes specifications, lays out metal stock, sets up and operates machine tools, cutting tools, jigs and fixtures, gauges, and machinists' hand tools, applying knowledge of shop mathematics, metal properties, and layout, machining, and assembly procedures Studies specifications, such as blueprints, sketches, models, or descriptions, and visualizes product to determine materials required and machines to be used to fabricate parts Computes dimensions, plans layout, and determines assembly method and sequence of operations Sets up, programs, and operates CNC and manual machine tools, such as lathes, mills, EDM, and grinder (rotary and surface) to machine parts and verifies conformance of machined parts to specifications Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED 4 years of tool room machining experience Strong math skills Strong mechanical aptitude Excellent problem-solving and communication skills Ability to safely lift up to 50lbs What's in this for you?
