Content Strategist

Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories is looking for an experienced campaign manager to join our Content Marketing team. We work closely with other marketing creatives and subject matter experts from across SEL to ideate and execute marketing campaigns that can speak to a variety of audiences and objectives while adhering to our established style and voice. Our new campaign manager will have the opportunity to collaborate across teams to craft and deliver campaigns and related content, ranging from video concepts to solutions-driven webpages, and more.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Develop a content strategy based on the company’s business objectives and/or end user need and to inspire/engage the audience.

2. Represent SEL’s brand and voice to drive communication with every word and image.

3. Gather necessary key business and user insights and apply strategic planning skills to create a long-term vision for content that is generated.

4. Devise and implement improvements to best practices, tools, and processes as well as make decisions based on credible metrics and analysis.

5. Responsibilities may include managing and creating marketing campaigns; monitoring engagement and analyzing data; and implementing search engine marketing best practices.

6. Model, teach, and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.

7. Understand. Create. Simplify.

8. Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or related field preferred.

Effective writing/copywriting, editing, and project management skills.

5+ years of professional experience in a related field.

Strong organization and analytical thinking skills, with ability to translate complex concepts into simple terms.

Experience leading content initiatives from ideation through implementation.

Strong relationship building, communication, and networking skills.

Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.

Background check results satisfactory to SEL.

Negative drug test result(s).

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with search engine marketing.

Strong understanding of users/consumers and the ability to predict needs by understanding behavior.
