As Vice President, Consumer Product Design, you will be accountable for defining and driving the strategy and roadmap for end-to-end payment solutions and partnerships in support of Optum Financials' ambitious business objectives. You will collaborate with business, operations, technology, marketing, and finance teams to deliver on that roadmap by:
- Working with senior business stakeholders to develop industry-leading consumer experiences in support of business goals and objectives
- Building and leading a cross-functional team of highly talented and motivated leaders including Senior Product Managers, Product Owners, and Business Development/Relationship Management Execs
- Developing and championing a product vision and strategy that is aligned with the business strategy
- Ensuring that the roadmap delivers great business value while significantly improving the consumer experience
- Thoroughly understanding how our omni channel digital and call center experiences serve our different consumers, and making recommendations for innovation and product/service improvements
- Making product decisions based on data, metrics and most importantly, the various consumers involved to create new experiences that delight, exceed expectations and drive loyalty
- Defining and influencing product designs and overall user experience
- Collaborate with talented engineering and technology teams to deliver high velocity features using agile methodologies
- Serving as a thought leader for consumer insights and design thinking within the team and the broader enterprise

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experiences
- 10+ years of experience serving in product and/or design eadership roles
- 10+ years of people leadership experience
- Demonstrated success leading large-scale digital organizations using design thinking principles that resulted in amazing consumer experiences
- Experience leading a team of Product Managers and Designers driving innovation
- Track record of driving strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation in digital platforms, prioritizing business initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment and management of current and future digital applications
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team of product and technology professionals to deliver high quality experiences in a fast-paced and demanding environment
- History of navigating large complex organizations and bringing together cross functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to foster relationships that build a high degree of collaboration across all levels and areas of an organization
- Proven ability to prioritize in a high pressure, fast paced environment
- Curious and hands-on leadership style that ensures a team understands the vision and is motivated to deliver

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado/Connecticut/Nevada residents is $174,600 to $332,200. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
