Senior Financial Analyst

Beacon Resources, in partnership with our restaurant client in Costa Mesa, CA area seeks a Senior Financial Analyst.

Job Description (General) – You will be responsible for financial planning, forecasting, reporting, budgeting, and analysis. The Senior Financial Analyst reports to the Finance Manager.

Job Site Status (Remote/Mixed/Onsite) - This role has a mixed onsite/remote schedule (Hybrid).

Compensation/Benefits – Salary starts at $90,000 and increases depending on qualifications. The company is offering a bonus along with health and wellness benefits.

SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Enhance and execute annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly planning processes
• Prepare, report, and analyze key operations and performance metrics for the company and franchise portfolio
• Monitor, analyze and interpret key metrics and financial results; highlights trends and causal factors; and develops and prepares key financial reporting schedules to management indicating variances of actual performance against budgets and forecasts.
• Serve as Financial Consultant and business partner to departments
• Assist fully in the development of the annual and strategic plan including the annual planning applications, development of initial target models and preparing the presentation for the Board of Directors approval
• Engage in special projects and prepare presentations to management as assigned
• Review existing franchisee balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and business plans to assess financial health and profitability
• Work with external auditors on a quarterly and year-end basis
• Participate as a collaborative team member or leader in pursuit of common goals

SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 3 years of finance experience
• Proficiency with MS Excel and PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to plan, prioritize, organize, and finish work and projects
• Ability to understand and solve problems using mathematics on large data sets

Preferred

• MBA
• Experience in the restaurant/retail industry with multi-units
