Sr Principal II Systems Analyst

Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking a SrPrincipalII Systems Analyst to join our team supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) High Performance Computing (HPC) Modernization Program (DoD HPCMP) and Cross Center located in northern Virginia. The successful candidate will serve as a lead Systems Analyst for HPC engineering and operations, and will liaison with senior government personnel supporting critical national DoD HPC systems.

Work will encompass developing computer systems specifications that address requirements and that fit with HPC system architecture standards. Establishes and documents system parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems compatibility and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities. Analyzes, enhances, installs, tests and modifies enterprise-wide operating systems for new and/or existing systems; participation in technical forums; and representing our company in joint meetings with the customer on HPC technical topics.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor's Degree and 10 years working experience, or equivalent experience; candidates with Armed Forces college courses or Associate Degrees, extensive certification, and additional experience are highly encouraged to apply.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• 2 years experience with HPC systems, various HPC technologies:

• Cray/Cray EX, IBM, SGI, Penguin, or custom architectures

• Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, or Linux variants operating systems (OS)

• InfiniBand (IB), Intel Omni-Path interconnects

• Portable Batch System (PBS), Simple Linux Utility for Resource Management (SLURM), or IBM Platform Load Sharing Facility (LSF) schedulers

• Intel Xeon, AMD EPYC, or ARM CPUs

• Nvidia graphic processing units (GPU)s

• ITIL Foundation
