HR Generalist
Classification: HR Generalist
Compensation: $70000.00 to $75000.00 yearly
We are partnering with a well-respected client to find a talented Human Resource Generalist to come aboard a high performing team. The primary responsibility of the HR Generalist will be providing Human Resources support to the Corporate Office and multiple Branch Offices throughout New Jersey and New York. Key areas of focus will be on recruiting, onboarding, and assisting HR team with a variety of projects and initiatives. If you are a motivated and organized HR professional that enjoys a fast-paced work environment with multi-faceted responsibilities, this may be the role for you.
Responsibilities include:
- Create job postings and attending job fairs to build talent pool.
- Develop staffing strategies and manage the full cycle recruiting process.
- Complete background and reference checks of candidates
- Partner with management to prepare offer letters.
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal discrimination and employment laws.
- Partner with other departments to conduct new employee orientations when needed.
- Work with HR team on projects.
- Provide advice and counsel to managers and employees regarding company policies and employment laws.
- Investigate and resolve employee conflicts.
- Aid in performance review process and partner with managers to ensure recognition or corrective measures are followed through with.
- Process unemployment documentation.
- Conduct exit interviews for voluntary exits and analyze for trends.
- Work with all areas of Human Resources to maintain employee handbook
- Other duties as assigned.

- Degree in Human Resource Management or comparable area of study.
- 4 years+ of experience in an HR role with at least 2+ years of recruiting experience.
- Banking Industry experience is a plus.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
- Enjoys recruiting and onboarding new hires.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to travel between office locations when necessary (New Jersey/Staten Island/Brooklyn)
