Currently, HGL is seeking a SharePoint Administrator / Developer to join our team in Reston, VA.
After a brief ramp-up period of hybrid work schedule, the SharePoint Admin/Developer may work remotely, with occasional meetings on-site in Reston, VA. Thus, a local candidate is highly desired.
The SharePoint Administrator / Developer will be expected to take on the role of lead SharePoint SME, mentoring one SharePoint Administrator; and responsible for supporting HGL’s multiple SharePoint tenants and helping the organization reach the next level of Microsoft Azure adoption.
This individual will have direct contact with internal stakeholders, who may or not be highly technical, and must be able to handle a full range of tasks from gathering and defining requirements through development, testing, and deployment. A qualified candidate will be able to multi-task, manage deadlines, and work effectively in a team or independently.
The nature of this position allows for a hybrid work environment.
Responsibilities/Duties
- Work closely with business stakeholders to make recommendations and develop requirements for SharePoint-based solutions.
- Customize site branding for Modern SharePoint experiences
- Conduct routine monitoring and analysis including audit log reports evaluation, storage utilization reports, site and system usage, and growth reports.
- Conduct content management tasks such as content migrations, archiving, and restructuring.
- Maintain current industry knowledge of development concepts, best practices, and procedures for SharePoint Online / Office 365 to provide strategic guidance to senior IT staff.
Required Skills
- Minimum 4+ years of experience with Microsoft SharePoint Online and Office 365.
- Experience with Microsoft cloud services including MS Teams, OneDrive, Azure AD, Security, and Compliance.
- Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Experience with SharePoint's application services framework including implementation, configuration, and usages of Search, Managed Metadata, and User Profile Services.
- Experience defining, developing, and implementing SharePoint data retention policies.
- Excellent verbal, interpersonal, and written communication skills.
Required Experience
- 5+ years of related job experience is required for this position.
Preferred Experience
- Experience with software development including PowerShell, XML, XSL, Visual Studio, JavaScript, jQuery, HTML, and CSS.
- Experience with the SharePoint Framework (SPFx).
- Experience with the Microsoft Government Community Cloud (GCC).
Required Education
- BA/BS in a technical discipline or equivalent experience/training is required for this position.
- 8+ years of experience in SharePoint Admin & Development may be substituted for bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft SharePoint Administrator Certification is a plus.
