Talent Acquisition Specialist

We are looking for a motivated, personable HR professional to join our busy HR Department to handle full cycle recruitment and provide general Human Resources support to our Taunton Distribution Center and Corporate offices. As our Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will effectively multi-task to source, screen, interview, and hire applicants for open positions. Bi-lingual proficiency in Portuguese or Spanish is a plus to assist our growing workforce.
Once trained and orientated to Jordan's, we offer a hybrid work schedule with 2 days at home and three days in the Taunton, MA office.
- Sources and screens candidates to determine if their qualifications meet position requirements.
- Interviews candidates and assists management in selecting the most qualified candidates.
- Conducts reference checks, sets up pre-employment testing; coordinates onboarding process and conducts new employee orientation and new hire enrollment.
- Ensures new hires complete necessary new hire paperwork within time-lines required by law.
- Conducts exit interviews and initial new hire follow ups of employees and provides feedback to management.
- Represents company at community-based job fairs, seminars and programs.
- Ensures paperwork and employee files are complete and accurate. Creates, maintains employee and benefit files.
- Enters data into HRIS system.
- Assists with administration of programs such as Employee Referral Program, monthly EEO report, annual driving record or any applicable grant programs.
- Liaison between external temporary agencies and management on the placement of temporary employees. Maintains staffing agreements to ensure accurate information. Negotiates temporary agency bill rates.
- Responds to and completes unemployment claims to ensure compliance.
- Updates recruitment materials as needed - new hire orientation, exit packets, etc.
- Coordinates the set-up for orientation supplies, ordering of food for new hire orientations.
- Travels to all company locations as needed.
The qualified candidate must have:
- 1-3 years of previous recruiting/HR experience
- Current knowledge of employment law and practices
- Strong interpersonal skills including negotiation, mediation and presentation skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and applicant tracking system
- Bi-lingual proficiency in Portuguese or Spanish is preferred to assist with our growing workforce
