Billing Specialist
Classification: Time & Billing Clerk
Compensation: $55000.00 to $85000.00 yearly
Robert Half is seeking a Billing Specialist with 2+ years of experience to join a growing firm in downtown Chicago. The Billing Specialist is responsible for the overall management of the firm's billing systems and providing support to the attorneys. Candidate should be an effective communicator through telephone email, and letter, and be professional in appearance and demeanor. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
- Research, prepare, and send out invoices to clients
- Comply with e-billing portals as required
- Resolve billing issues
- Complete billing reports as needed
- Work collaboratively and coordinate with staff members and departments
- Track and rebill outstanding invoices monthly
- Enter payment vouchers, credit card payments and check processing into database
- Calculate and prepare manual billings for non-routine, complex billing arrangements
- Review invoices for accuracy before sending to analyst/consultant/attorney for review and signature
- Track tax bills and tax rates
- Data entry
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Accounting or Finance - Candidates that do not currently hold a Bachelor's degree will not be considered for this position
- 2+ years of billing experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Research experience
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Self-starter
