Roth Construction is a family-owned full-service restoration company based in Cleveland, OH. Our company’s values are rooted in serving people, and we are looking for a controller who is committed to transparency, accuracy, and ethical money management. The controller is responsible for preparing and maintaining monthly journal entries, assisting in month-end numbers, financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, job costing, taxes, and managing a small accounting team.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage accounting department including AR, AP, HR, and payroll.

• Guide financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.

• Manage preparation of regular reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.

• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal reporting requirements.

• Closely track job costs and actively seek and implement efficiency processes to increase profitability while maintaining quality work and customer service.

• Accurately prepare and file tax forms.

• Work with other departments to execute strategic plans.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in accounting/finance preferred.

• 5+ years of accounting experience.

• 3+ years in a controller or accounting leadership position, preferably within construction.

• Expert knowledge and understanding of accounting and financial reporting and understanding of those reports and data.

• Strong quantitative, analytical, organizational, and problem solving skills.

• Technologically proficient with experience with accounting software platforms.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Self-starter with desire to be part of a successful, goal-oriented team.
