Desired Skills and Experience

• 5+ years in a Network Engineering related role

• Experience with network design/deployment for AWS (i.e. AWS DirectConnect/Transite Gateways/Routing, and public-facing network setup)

• Advanced experience with dynamic routing protocols: BGP, OSPF

• Self-starter and ability to take initiative

Plusses

• Experience supporting Meraki or Palo Alto firewalls

An Enterprise level construction company is seeking a Network Engineer to work onsite in either the Woodlands, TX OR Watsonville, CA. This person will be joining a team of 5, and will be responsible for the implementation and support of the company’s networks that support field and business applications, Internet access, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and video conferencing systems. This person will be heavily involved in an AWS data center migration project, as well as troubleshooting high-level network connectivity issues including but not limited to: dynamic routing protocols, routing/switching, setting up VLANs, troubleshooting Meraki/Palo Alto firewalls, and basic connectivity/VPN issues. On a day to day basis, the role will entail resolving tickets through ServiceNow relating to network issues, as well as helping the company setup the public-facing network within AWS. This role will be required to work at least 2 days/week onsite in either the Woodlands, TX OR Watsonville, CA location.
