The Residential Specialist staff member will be responsible for ensuring a safe environment and that tenants are adhering to House Rules and program policies, monitoring surveillance systems, and acting as a role model to tenants and encourage program participation. In this role you will provide necessary support to residents for a variety of issues, make hourly observation rounds and document in the communication log, communicate incidents to supervisory staff via written incident reports and communication log, and attend staff meetings. You will also provide front-line crisis intervention, answer phones and route calls as needed, ensure reception area is tidy, and perform other duties as requested by supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1-year work experience in residential treatment or similar setting
  • Ability to provide crisis intervention utilizing good interpersonal skills with a high level of maturity and responsibility

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Basic understanding of human services
  • F-02 Certification
  • BLS-First Aide/CPR
  • Driver’s license preferred, not required
