Staff Accountant

The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the department heads to understand and ensure accuracy of all financial reporting activity
  • Assist in preparation and distribution of financial statements
  • Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule
  • Ensures all bank reconciliations are prepared in an accurate and timely manner
  • Maintains accurate fixed asset records, computing depreciation expense
  • Ensures that all A/P, A/R and General journal transactions are correctly posted in the GL, with appropriate audit trail documentation in place


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Management; Associate's degree with addistional relevant experience
  • 3 - 5 years' experience in accounting
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and a large ERP
