Accounting Bookkeeper and HR

On Site: Waunakee (Greater Madison area WI)

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE/SCOPE OF POSITION:

Accounting/Bookkeeping:

  • Accounting - Full Charge - AR/AP/GL/Payroll/Financial Statements - Weekly and Monthly Reporting to President and CFO
  • Good knowledge of QuickBooks Online
  • Invoicing/Billing
    • Enter and reconcile work orders into excel
    • Enter into QuickBooks
  • Manage Materials Inventory
    • Working with vendors to process Purchases Orders and Maintaining company PO log
    • Work with Production to verify orders are received, quantities are correct, and stored in the proper location
    • Maintain Warehouse Excel file (or other software) with ROP,
    • Order materials based on end-of-month inventory and/or customer needs working with President, Customer Care, and Production to have an adequate supply on hand and ordered
  • Coordinate the Month-End and Year-End Close with the CFO
  • Experience working with CPA Firm

Human Resources:

  • Support Recruiting of new Employees
    • Maintain Job Board, schedule interviews, administer background checks/tests, conduct orientations, maintain employee records and information
  • General Knowledge of Human Resources, Employment Laws, and Procedures
    • Maintain employee records
    • Maintain Employee Handbook
  • Maintains Company Payroll - time and attendance, entering employees process bi-weekly payroll including distributing payments to third parties

General Office Coordination:

  • Confidentiality and Open Communication/Reporting to President and CFO
  • Office Coordinator
    • Answer Phones and Reception desk (backup)
    • Receive, sort, and distribute mail
    • Manage Purchasing of Office Supplies

Minimum Qualifications Education, Experience, and Knowledge Required:

  • Requires 5+ years of experience in bookkeeping
  • Strong Excel Skills
  • Attention to Details
  • Degree in Accounting/Bookkeeping
  • Knowledge of Human Resources Laws

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $50,000/year plus depending on experience
  • 16 days of Paid-Time-Off after 30 days of Employment
  • 1st of the Month Following Thirty days of Employment
    • Health Insurance Low $2,000 Deductible Plan (GHC)
      • Single Coverage Low $89 per check employee premium (75% of total premium paid by employer)
