Controller

Planning and directing all accounting operational functions, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff will be essential for this role. What you get to do every single day

- Manage the creation of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts

- Advance Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed, with research, planning and implementation

- Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies

- Occasionally perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities

- Time monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is punctual

- Collaborate with executive team and partners to make efficient and effective firm-wide operation possible

- Produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, and manage daily cash

- Reviews deliverables of self and team to ensure that they meet client expectations

- Give financial reports to executive committee and partners each month

- Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis

- Direct finance department activities, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll
