With the recent acquisition of ConnectYourCare (CYC) Optum Financial now serves 8M+ health benefit accounts and $18B+ in assets across multiple platforms and portals. As part of our Health Benefit Account (HBA) strategy, we will create a single consumer and team member experience, marrying the strength and stability of Optum’s legacy platform with the agility and configurability of the CYC platform. This unified experience will result in a single website, single mobile app, and single support team for our customers – greatly simplifying how they manage, save, and pay for the cost of care.
As we bring these businesses and underlying platforms together, we must focus equally on serving our consumers today and building for the future. As such, we are seeking a Director of Product Management responsible for leading the delivery of tools utilized by our contact centers to service HBA consumers, with a focus on making it easier for our team members to take care of the consumer.
This role will manage a team tasked to develop, define, and execute the consolidation and enhancement of multiple tools including but not limited to Salesforce ACET, OMNI, and AWD. Simply put, Optum Financial team members are your customers.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing the effort to ensure that call center and operations team members have the tools and resources required to provide superior customer care
- Take a lead role coordinating with call and operations leadership, and cross-organizational stakeholders, including interaction with executive leadership, to clearly define strategic priorities. Translate these strategic priorities into actionable development plans
- Develop a roadmap and guide through the product lifecycle of strategy, metrics alignment, definition/requirements, delivery/development, and go-to-market
- Provide leadership to team of Product Managers. Leading day-to-day collaboration and decision making with cross-functional agile teams – including architects, developers, scrum master, designers and key partners
- Leadership of moderately complex projects across call and operations teams in various locations

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, healthcare administration or related field
- 6+ years product management experience, preferably with a technology-driven financial services or health care company or comparable entity
- 4+ years of managing virtual teams
- Proven ability to build relationships cross-functionally and lead teams toward common goals
- Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential requirement of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years working in a call center / operations environment
- 1+ years HBA related experience including HSA/FSA/HRA products
- Strong knowledge of Customer-Centric Product Operating Model concepts and practices
- Experience working with scrum teams in an Agile framework
- Demonstrated analytic acumen, ability to leverage data to drive decision making and improve outcomes
- Strong knowledge of Optum & UnitedHealth Group
