Marketing Pricing Manager

Kimball Midwest, a national distributor of maintenance, repair, and operation products, is searching for a MaPricing Manager in our Marketing Department for our Columbus, Ohio location.

For this Pricing Manager position here at Kimball Midwest, we are looking for someone to lead our Pricing Team and drive pricing management, strategy, and analysis. This person will be responsible for the achievement of Gross Profit Commissions and GPAC objectives as well as develop and maintain pricing standards and operating procedures.
Essential Job Functions
  • Manage the Pricing department through the development and execution of an effective Annual Corporate Plan and Budget.
  • Lead and Develop a Pricing Team that has outstanding customer service to support and respond to Sales Team requests promptly and professionally while adhering to the Annual Corporate Plan.
  • Manage the Kimball Midwest overall pricing structure to achieve Gross Profit, Commissions, and GPAC objectives per the Annual Corporate Plan.
  • Sets pricing through evaluating and maintaining accurate data (vendor costs, multiplier tables, etc).
  • Completes effective and accurate price actions in all areas where necessary.
  • Maintains effective and accurate guidelines for Pricing Team to follow when received requests from Sales Team
  • Review product classes for elimination of codes where possible and release in conjunction with monthly updates or bi-annual price increases.
  • Suggests and implement Strategic Pricing adjustments where appropriate.
  • Responsible for completing the pricing review and communication best practices with Sales Team and internal teams in the following categories to effectively meet Annual Corporate Plan objectives:
  • Open Tab, Matrix, Corporate Accounts
  • X-Divisional, KAE, Government Accounts
  • Responsible for effective and timely completion of pricing evaluation in new product and marketing selling programs including but not limited to bi-monthly promotions, DoorBusters, MECs, Ultimate Assortments, and Featured Products.
  • Coordinate pricing, promotions, and marketing support for company affiliates.
Qualifications
  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree finance, marketing, business administration, or other related area.
  • This position requires a minimum of three years’ experience in pricing management and analysis, and/or product line management preferably for a multi-lined wholesaler or expeditor.
  • This position requires the ability to respond quickly to problems, and the ability to work in a stressful environment.
  • This position requires the ability to communicate with and provide outstanding customer service to co-workers, supervisors, managers, and field personnel.
  • This position requires the ability to read and write small letters and numbers; the ability to make arithmetic calculations; and the ability to understand written and oral instructions.
  • This position requires the ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • This position requires the execution of an Employment Agreement contract between Kimball-Midwest and the employee.
