SAG Financial Analysts assist with the qualitative and quantitative analysis of the bank's commercial customers for their assigned Portfolio Officers. Analysts participate in the structuring and underwriting of credit facilities. Analysts are also expected to complete a number of recurring reports and special assignments as necessary. The Special Asset Group manages the high risk/criticized or distressed commercial loan portfolio for Bank of America. This position focuses primarily on the financial analysis, credit actions, asset quality reporting preparation, and regulatory requirements of commercial loans. Successful applicants typically have prior commercial loan experience and/or strong financial education. May eventually manage portfolio of less complex relationships

Qualifications:

  • BS / BA Degree in related field required (ie. Business Mgmt, Finance, Accounting, Economics)

  • Preferred 1-2 years of commercial underwriting experience

  • The ability to analyze financial statements in depth and interpret ratios with proper conclusion is critical to being successful in the position.

  • Should be highly motivated, intellectually curious (figure-it-out mindset), self-starter with strong advancement potential.

  • Should be able to manage multiple tasks.

  • Having a background in commercial financial analysis and underwriting is essential.

  • Understanding of commercial lending and accounting is a must.

  • Excel skills are mandatory.

  • Working knowledge of loan structuring on ARs, inventory, equipment, other commercial transactions and bank products such as Treasury Management, Derivatives, Swaps, Sweep accounts, DDA deposits.

  • Must exhibit all of Bank of Americas core values
