We are currently looking for an Assistant Vice President, Instructional Designer .
Position Overview:
The Assistant Vice President, Instructional Designer is a contributing and leadership role. With the guidance of management, the roles primary responsibility is to direct and contribute to the development and maintenance of all Training materials. This role will collaborate with Training team members, SitusAMC business unit SMEs partners, and vendors.
Essential Job Functions:
Manage the development of training curriculum, performance support tools, and resources; ensuring alignment with technology and business needs
Direct and contribute to the development of training content in a variety of formats; Training Manuals, Job Aids, E-learning, video, hybrid, etc. including writing, editing, advising on topics, providing feedback, and content curation
Determine Training delivery methods depending on topic, content, and learning objectives
Manages learning content by auditing existing learning materials; reviewing and editing final drafts; adapting content to changing learner needs; validating content with subject matter experts; aligning content with business goals and initiatives; maintaining consistency through quality control measures; and providing project status updates to stakeholders
Contributes to the management of training materials effectiveness by measuring and analyzing trainee performance; identifying deficiencies; reporting inconsistencies and deficiencies to senior leadership; providing performance feedback to direct reports
Collaborate with SMEs and Training & Development Content Developers to design and develop new training material and templates, including but not limited to training manuals, job aids, infographics, ILT material, and eLearning that is engaging and effective
Collaborate with SMEs and Training & Development Content Developers to redesign and update existing training material and templates, including but not limited to training manuals, job aids, infographics, ILT material, and eLearning to meet SitusAMCs updated content development standards and minimum requirements
Collaborate with SMEs to identify the target audiences training needs and develop training content that supports and fulfills those needs
Manage relationship between requesting parties and Training for Content Development needs, including effectively communicating expectations and providing incremental, consistent feedback and updates to all relevant parties
Contribute to the curation and maintenance of content in the learning management system;
Research, author, and develop content for training material
Write effective scripts for E-Learning, Instructor-led training, video, and audio content;
Guide and manage direct reports
Develop modes of assessment to measure the effectiveness of training
Inform new ways to collect/consult data to benefit the organization through Training
Collaborate with manager to prioritize materials projects
Conduct needs analysis: consult SitusAMC business partners and data to identify business problem to be solved
Recommend solutions (including other than training when appropriate) and design/delivery methods, contribute to training proposals, and build spec for intervention when applicable
Apply business data and evidence-based practices to problem-solving and Training development
Inform/create standard training tools and processes: dev and publication templates, scripts, QC, UAT, etc.
Verify approval/legal use of acquired images; ensure compliance with all applicable governing regulations and policies
Contribute to discussions and decisions regarding the criteria used to judge learners performance and develop assessment instruments
Ensure all training material is engaging, accurate, consistent, easy to understand, and effective;
Qualifications/ Requirements:
BS or MA degree in a related field, such as instructional design, educational technology, or similar. In some cases, substantial, relevant experience may be substituted for this qualification
5+ years of work experience in instructional design and with instructional technology, including Articulate 360/Storyline, Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, InDesign, etc., and at least one Learning Management System (LMS)
Demonstrated experience leading teams and/or projects
Knowledge of the company due diligence operations at the QC level or higher and some mortgage-related knowledge preferred
Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio/video scripts
Knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design models
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and convey information once retained.
Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team; as a member and a leader
Excellent communication skills, exemplified in excellent grammar and writing construction, and communication with SitusAMC members at all levels of the organization
Strong technical skills with demonstrated mastery of MS Office and web-based systems
Strong analytical ability, good judgment; strategic and multidimensional thinker
Solutions focused, self-motivated, flexible, expresses urgency, and extraordinary team orientation
Must be flexible to meet departmental and business needs, which may require some night and/or weekend work with little to no notice
Organized, attention to detail, self-motivated, able to meet deadlines, and communicate needs/issues in a timely manner
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous deadlines
