Materials Coordinator | Mason, OH
1st Shift | $18-22/hr, Based on Experience
Express Employment Professionals is now hiring a Materials Coordinator for a manufacturing and distribution firm in Mason, OH. This is a full time, career opportunity in need of an individual with procurement and materials experience.
CORE FUNCTIONS:
Enter Purchase Orders
- Coordinate with Project Managers to review material purchase timelines
- Enter purchase orders into Flowtrac (inventory management system)
Coordinate Material Schedules
- Coordinate with Shop Support on production schedules and material availability
- Collaborate with the Shop Manager on work order production scheduling and on the appropriate flow of materials into production
Receive Materials
- Coordinate receipt of materials
- Produce barcode labels for received materials and assist warehousing personnel with labeling materials
- Ensure the material ordered matches the BOL and resolves any discrepancies together with the PM
- Ensure accurate recording of damaged/defective materials
Material Storage, Tracking & Reporting
- Ensure materials, material quantities and locations are accurately entered into Flowtrack
- Assist with developing, implementing and maintaining systems and processes that ensure accurate inventory counts
- Produce a weekly inventory report for each project
Inventory Control
- Ensure adequate materials required for production are available to meet scheduled demands by comparing the WO to BOM in Flowtrac
- Monitor inventory control measures to ensure mistakes, inaccuracies and availability issues are resolved and implement action plans to mitigate repeat issues in the future
- Monitor and evaluate material utilization
- Assist with cycle counts as required

REQUIREMENTS
- HS Diploma required
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, logistics, construction management or related field preferred
- Two years of relevant Inventory control experience preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing setting
- Experience using Microsoft Office and Excel is required
- Must be detail oriented with strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Previous implementation of a bar coding system preferred
- Previous inventory management software experience is preferred
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment, manage priorities and workflow
- Excellent organization, written and verbal communication skills
Shift: Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm
Pay: $18-22/hourly, based on experience
