Manager Technical Services

Summary:

The Manager Technical Services will lead a team of Engineering Technicians to meet core objectives by leveraging effective task and process management, resource allocation, budget oversight, performance tracking, staff development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage Day-to-day activities related to manufacturing engineering technical services
• Lead process development and training activities to develop, verify, and deploy production and repair processes and tools.
• Oversee product continuation engineering activities and engineering reviews.
• Support test engineering development builds, troubleshooting, and repair activities.
• Manage Design for Manufacturing activities to provide real-world process performance feedback for consideration into future product designs.
• Provide support to New Product Introduction projects relative to prototype product, subassembly, fixtures, and tooling build services.
• Maintain and advance equipment calibration services activities providing in-house calibration services for internal measurement equipment.
• Outline and prioritize work using a priority/planning matrix to track activities.
• Create and maintain scorecards and relevant project documents including reports and summaries to provide visibility to key stakeholders on team activities.
• Hire, develop, and coach team members to deliver to core objectives.
• Conduct team management activities including performance reviews, updates, and recognition.

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree in technical field or 8+ years experience in manufacturing, engineering, or technical setting Bachelor's degree preferred
• 2+ years of management experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or technical setting
• Working knowledge of electronics desirable
• Proven track record of on-time and on-quality performance
• Team oriented with the ability to work with cross-functional teams
• Strong negotiation, problem solving, technical, and organization skills
• Excellent project management skills
