Inside Sales Manager

Midwest Refrigerated Services is a growing, family owned frozen food warehouse, refrigerated trucking and logistics company. We serve customers in the food industry with distribution and transportation services.

Location: Salt Lake City

General Position Overview:

The MRL Inside Sales Manager (ISM) is responsible primarily for developing and maintaining their own personal book of business. ISMs will be responsible to make outbound sales calls, enter transportation orders and ensure customer satisfaction for MRL customers that they bring to the company. While there may be times minor accounts are given to ISMs for the most part, all ISM customers will be self-generated. When making sales to ISM customers, ISMs must work closely with their Carrier Sales Managers (CSMs for pricing and capacity capabilities) Once a sale is made for a load or a group of loads (lanes), the ISM will be required to work with the CSM to ensure load coverage.

General Accountabilities include:

  • Making daily outbound sales calls to prospective customers and cold Leads

  • Learning and improving on listening for areas of opportunity with customers

  • Order entry and system operating proficiency

  • Order and information accuracy and timeliness

  • Team work with both CSMs as well as others in the Logistics team

  • Radical customer service and a sense of ownership

  • Solution creation and communication both written and verbal

    Prerequisites:

  • College degree or accepted work experience

  • Ability to type, and utilize common systems (Email, Microsoft tools, McLeod)

  • Ability to learn on the fly and solve problems
