The Lead Cloud Engineer role is responsible for leading technical product ownership of the Government Programs Marketing platform. The position will require technical hands-on architect level implementation as well long-range strategic direction setting of the platform. The role will be point person to provide technical guidance to team member, help solve any issues and work with technology and business leadership to provide relevant updates. The position will also require full accountability management of infrastructure updates (public cloud) for the product along with technical mentoring a team of full time and contractual resources. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Planning, managing, and executing critical technology initiatives leveraging public cloud
  • Provide Technical Leadership to develop and deliver highest quality and scalable cloud solutions
  • Driving innovation and creative solutions to business and technical challenges on an ongoing basis
  • Providing leadership and direction to application team and business product teams
  • Perform hands on work to create framework, provide sample/reference implementation to team member.
  • Lead and develop technology roadmaps
  • Identify and onboard top talent to build a team of engineers to support new application
  • Building collaborative relationships with business partners vendors, and technology
  • Delivering solutions to meet the business agenda (on Scope, Schedule, Cost, Benefit and Quality)
  • Define cloud migration approach and strategy for Government Program digital and marketing data platform team
  • Design and Architect App level Cloud setup
  • Communicate and educate broader team about cloud setup
  • Work on POC and setup
  • Explore advanced option to drive efficiency, cost reduction and modernization
  • Help other scrum teams come up to speed with cloud setup

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience within the technology field as engineer
  • 2+ years of experience with Azure Cloud with the following topics
    • Traffic Managers, Application Gateways, Application Management Services, Key Vaults, Kubernetes, Container Registries, Virtual Networks, Network Security Groups, Firewalls
  • 1+ years of experience in Terraform
    • Creating scripts for different types of resources
    • Managing states
  • Experience establishing best practices, patterns and templates for enterprise software development organizations
  • Ability to leverage advanced cloud features such as auto scaling, and ML

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in software engineering, computer science or related field
  • 2+ year of working in a Linux OS environment
  • 1+ year of experience in Helm chart: Creating charts; Configuring the services, ingress, egress, scaling and service accounts; Managing helm chart states
  • 1+ year of experience with Cloud ML, ADF, Databricks setup
  • 1+ years of Docker experience
  • 1+ year One to two years’ experience in Jenkins / CICD
  • Prior UnitedHealth Group/UHC/Optum experience
  • Good knowledge of cloud security setup
  • Expertise with common high-availability and disaster recovery patterns
  • Local to Eden Prairie, MN

Colorado, Connecticut or Nevada Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $97,300 to $176,900. The salary range for Connecticut / Nevada residents is $97,300 to $176,900.
