General Accountant

Blume Global is seeking a full-time General Accountant who is highly driven, results-oriented and passionate about growing our technology and services teams.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor daily cash balances, maintain petty cash, administer travel advances, and apply cash transactions to the general ledger
• Follow up on past due expense reports as needed
• Administer company credit card program; activations, terminations, issues, etc.
• Create payable entries for automatic debits, research/resolve debit returns and apply bulk Credits if necessary
• Generate daily bank transaction reports, prepare bank deposits, scan check and bank receipts, and run end of the day files in TD Bank software
• Prepare analysis of accounts, as needed
• Code, enter, and scan accounts payable invoices and print accounts payable checks
• Track and audit Massachusetts Use Tax
• Serve as point of contact for vendor and customer inquiries
• Maintain appropriate internal control environment

Qualifications:

• BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree
• 1+ yrs of work experience as an Accountant
• Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Ability to manage, execute and follow through with multiple tasks.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing priorities.
• Work with a sense of urgency and strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
• Good listening, written, and oral communication skills.
• Creative problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow through and maintain focus on results
• Team player with the ability to interact with employees at all levels of the company
• Experience with Concur and Microsoft Dynamics - Great Plains or equivalent accounting system
