Food Server
Duties & Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:

- Up sells food and beverages within the restaurant; desserts, appetizers, etc.
- Attempts to control food costs; throw away, etc.
- Always reports to Supervisor before shift to obtain assigned station.
- Ensures that stations are clean, orderly and stocked with the specified condiments and promotional material. Ensures that tables are set properly according to assigned station.
- Consistently notifies Supervisor of any inventory that needs to be ordered or stocked.
- Always completes side duties, including; stocking condiments, folding napkins, polishing glasses, etc.
- Effectively takes guest orders in a timely manner. Ensures that beverage orders are taken within two minutes after guest is seated.
- Maintains complete knowledge of all menu and beverage items, their prices, method of preparation, and availability.
- Verifies all check discrepancies with the Supervisor before making any changes.
- Ensures that all guest orders are correct before service. Ensures that all sales are accounted for prior to presenting the check to the guest.
- Ensures that guests receive their check in a timely manner according to assigned work area.
- Always adheres to established sequence of service standards.
- Ensures coupons, comps, room charge, credit card, etc., are settled according to policy.
- Always exhibits extreme care when handling dishware, glassware, silverware and food product.
- Always uses FLAG Protocol when serving alcoholic beverages to guest under age 35.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Previous tray or food server experience is preferred.
- Must possess outstanding interpersonal communication skills to effectively interface with guests.
- Must be able to walk/stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to lift up to 30lbs.
- Must be able to work cooperatively with others.
