Title: Production Worker (Roll Builder)

Roll Builder operates a three-roll builder used to apply a sheet of rubber to prepare rollers to required production specifications. Selects, mounts, attaches, and calibrates a variety of attachments to achieve required surfaces.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operate a three-roll builder for the purpose applying sheet of rubber to metal core
• Operate a conventional lathe machine for the purpose of applying adhesive to metal core
• Operate hand cutting tools to prepare rubber
• Able to operate a foot pedal
• Some sand blasting required
• Change set ups as necessary per assigned jobs or close the tail stock
• Assist Shipping and Receiving as needed
• Maintain a neat, safe, clean, and organized work area
• Follow all safety policies and procedures
• Follows all company policies and procedures
• Maintains a safe, clean, organized work area
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by management

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge and Print reading skills
• 1-3 years of similar field or CNC machine experience
• Experience with rubber roll stripping machines, belt sanders

DESIRED SKILLS:

• Quick Learner
• Forklift Certified

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE:

• High School degree.
• 1-2 years manual tools (i.e., various cutting tools, indicators, measurement tools etc..) to perform stripping operations
• Experience working with silicon, polyurethane, rubber
• Forklift experience required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift and manipulate 40 lbs.
• Good sense of smell
• Excellent close and distant vision.
• Ability to stand 8 hours plus per workday
