Dietary Cook | HTNC

Hometown Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is hiring a cook to join their dietary team!

The goal is to provide excellent food services by following instructions and standards. Cooks are responsible for preparing meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks) for our residents in a timely manner. This role is great for a beginner or seasoned cook.

This role is full-time: 80 hours per pay period (bi-weekly), including weekend rotation coverage.
Hours for this role are 5:30am-1:30pm.

• Prepare meals under the supervision of the dietary manager
• Set up tables or other dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order
• Deliver dishes and trays at designated times and rooms
• Discard leftovers and take out the garbage
• Clean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels, and silverware
• Assist with other assignments as needed by management

Requirements

• Capable of preparing food by following written and oral instructions in English.
• Adhering to all safety and health standards.
• Lift / push / pull / carry up to 25 pounds frequently.
• Stand / walk for prolonged periods of time.
